Biff = fanny here. Lovely name BTW

seeker · 24/05/2008 17:08

I think Biff's older, isn't she? I don't think theya re in the same class. Kipper has Mrs May, but I can't remember the names of amy other teachers.

AllBuggiedOut · 24/05/2008 16:54

Are Biff and Chip twins? I've never fathomed it out. And has anybody else noticed how Mrs Biff/Chip/Kipper becomes noticeably less chav in the newer books? She looks like somebody has had a word with her about her eyeshadow and highlights...

seeker · 24/05/2008 15:47

I'm really posh - if I have another ds he will be called Snooty.

Divejaney · 24/05/2008 15:44

My brother was Biff because he couldn't pronounce Christopher.

fizzbuzz · 24/05/2008 10:17

Anyway, I thought Kipper was a small cute dog who appears in a lot of toddler books

Jenbot · 24/05/2008 09:47

My baby sister and her friends used to use 'Biff', 'Chip' & 'Kipper' as sort of private-joke kid swear words when they were about 10.

"Chip off, you Biffer", kind of thing.

GrimmaTheNome · 23/05/2008 22:51

ORT is the stuff kids have to get through before they get to read the Beano for themselves.

loudmouth · 23/05/2008 22:48

must be a joke
noone would seriously consider Biff

EllenJane · 23/05/2008 22:00

Eeveryone knows Biff is a girls' name..

fizzbuzz · 23/05/2008 21:54

Is this serious? Sounds like someone's been reading too much of "The Beano" to me.....

loudmouth · 23/05/2008 21:33

awful choice

Rowlers · 23/05/2008 21:30

Wasn't the lead singer of exteeemely shite heavy metal band Saxon called Biff?

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/05/2008 21:27

Thank you Rusty.

RustyBear · 23/05/2008 21:25

Oxford Reading Tree CSWS

ranting · 23/05/2008 21:24

I think it's absolutely spiffing and you should name ds2 Wally wankee and they can have midnight feasts int the dorm by candlelight. It'll be whizzer!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/05/2008 21:22

Oh FFS - someone please tell me wtf O RT is!

LynetteScavo · 23/05/2008 21:15

Oh what a adorable name! I love it!!

Blandmum · 23/05/2008 21:13

No, the gog is called floppy!

And don't forget wilf and wilma

expatinscotland · 23/05/2008 21:11

biff is the name of a yellow Lab retriever.

or a beagle.

kipper is also called an arbroath smokie when smoked in such a fashion and is absolutely delicious when served over ciabatta with fresh tomatoes.

Piffle · 23/05/2008 21:09

biff= biffer
biffer= derogatory term for a munter...
bit of a biffer mate eh
I cannot read ORT without thinking that...

GrimmaTheNome · 23/05/2008 21:07

When I heard at the reception introductory meeting that they'd be starting with the Kipper books I thought, oh good, that nice little dog.

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/05/2008 21:07

What's O RT?
Biff was in Back to The Future, but didn't make it a popular name.

edam · 23/05/2008 21:03

Peter and Jane were very popular at the time, though. As were Janet and John.

Not seem to many twins called Topsy and Tim, though. An opportunity waiting for the next naming thread started by a mother of multiples!

SylvieBruno · 23/05/2008 21:02

Is this a joke? It stands for Big Ignorant Fucker. That is a well-known insult in my neck of the woods.
