Hate DD’s planned baby name. Is it ever ok to say that?

I expect the answer is to keep quiet but I fear by future grandchild will be teased mercilessly.

My grandmother told me her feelings on my DSs name after we’d registered his birth. She probably forgot she’d said anything, I never have.
His names are quite traditional and not out of the ordinary.

I would try saying 'didn't Uncool Celebrity call theirs something like that?' but go no further.

. if there is a real reason why it doesn’t make sense to use that name then suggest other closer ones but ultimately it’s not your choice.
. If it’s just your opinion - you just have to keep that opinion to yourself for now.
come up with a cute nickname you can use.

If it’s a name that’s regularly used, even if it wasn’t used much in your day, keep quiet.

I’d only think about saying something if the name is truly batshit. But if that’s the case, she probably knows it’s not to everyone’s taste and doesn’t care.
