Not finding out the gender so would love to hear opinions on our shortlists Smile

OP posts:

Heidi is nice but a little twee
Felicity has a nice meaning but long, so will be shortened Flick is awful.

Luca is too trendy and will date badly. Luke is much classier
Finley seems a bit wet.

FWIW, I read it as Luna or Finley.Blush

I'm a Felicity, but always been called Fliss.

My gran called me Flossie😁

CarCrashLifes · 31/01/2025 17:50

Felicity or Finlay

Roselilly36 · 31/01/2025 17:49

Felicity is my favourite girls names ever. I love Luca too.

MassiveSalad22 · 31/01/2025 17:44

Heidi and Luca for me by far! Both were on our list, love them. Both feel like happy, friendly names.

Felicity is nice enough, Finley far too popular, but they both feel a bit prissy to me.

Felicity for me is a bit of a wet blanket name. I'd go Heidi and Finley (Luca is fine too).

Felicity and Luca✨

I like both of your girl names. They are both lovely. I think I'd probably wait and see what I thought she suited when she arrived.

Your boy names are not really to my taste but I think that's because I know some really challenging Lucas and Finlays through work with young people! Of the two I think Finley is my preference

I only like Felicity

Don't like your boys names at all

NowThatYouSayIt · 31/01/2025 08:15

I have a good friend called Heidi who loathes her name and finds it twee, particularly in relation to the Johanna Spyri novel and its various adaptations, and associations with mountains, goatherds and wholesomeness.

Ellmau · 31/01/2025 08:11

Felicity is beautiful. Heidi feels a bit twee in comparison.

I prefer Lucas to Luca unless you have Italian heritage. Not keen on Finley. What bout Felix?

Mumto42005 · 31/01/2025 08:08

I love Felicity and having a Finley, I also love that too 💕
(Although he is 14 now so he prefers it to be shortened to Fin so be prepared for that ☺️)
