Hello all,

I have found out I am having a baby boy, and would like to hear your opinions on the name I like for him.

First name: Elio
Middle name: Heath

Elio Heath.

What do you all think please? I am looking for uncommon, a bit different but still likeable + not a name where he could get picked on when he starts school.

Thanks.

Use Eliot?

It sounds like a place

I think it's OK. Elio is an Italian name, so possibly people may assume Italian heritage which your child may or may not have. But it's not a name that has any equivalent in English as far as I know, so I don't think Italians will come after you for using it regardless.

I'd just sound the name out with your surname - mostly Elio Lastname, because that is what he'll deal with every day, but also Elio Heath Lastname - to make sure it still sounds nice.

It’s not something I’d choose personally. But it’s your baby!

It's not to my taste. I am not keen on Elio and Heath just makes me think of Heath Ledger.

He would also have to be spelling Elio out when meeting new people because it so unusual.

In my experience, women and girls tend to prefer unique names, but boys and men often prefer popular names.
