Which girls name would you pick?

Eva
Stella
Sophia

Which would you go for and why?
I don’t love any of them but they’re literally the only ones my husband and I can agree we both like. We have very different taste and it took us a long time to even get to this point.

Sophia and Sofia combined would probably be the currently most popular name for girls. I know several.

I’m a teacher and know hundreds of Ellas and Evas. Stella makes me think of A Streetcar Named Desire (but admit that this is a fairly niche reference). Sophia for me, although I wouldn’t choose it myself as it is a bit of a mouthful and difficult to shorten.

Love Stella. Sophia is also beautiful but I more popular at the moment so you might find there are a few others in your daughter’s school when the time comes.

@sel2223 , the other names have been so overused they're dull. Ava is not to my taste at all and I can't see the appeal.

What names did you love? Is there a way that you could incorporate them??

Only to echo everyone else Stella feels more edgy than the rest, could you double barrel with a name you loved?

I'm really surprised so many on here like Stella, it's not to my taste at all.

My favourite would be either Sophia or Ava (that spelling)

Sophia. It's classy and timeless. Eva and Ella are just everywhere. I'm not keen on Stella. It's an old-lady name to me. But it's not awful.

Stella I like
Sophia ok but prefer Sophie
Eva is ok

however on a side note, I wouldn’t settle for a name, it would have to be a name we both loved.

Eva - I prefer Ava, but Eva is still nice
Stella - I like Estella much better
Sophia - was on my list twenty odd years ago! Very popular these days but I still love it.

Stella is my favourite.
I prefer Sophie to Sophia by miles.
Ella is everywhere and then some.
Evie is too twee for me; why not Eve?

Another vote for Stella, I think it's a lovely name. The only association for me is Stella Mccartney.

The other names are totally meh.

Sophia or Ella (not shortened)

Eva was ubiquitous a few years ago
Ellie as a nn is pretty ubiquitous too

Stella is a lager (hence my username)
