Lucy. Classic but not top ten

Mumofgirls2017 · 16/11/2024 15:19

Like Elowen, Sadie and Alice

UnderZealous · 16/11/2024 13:25

Like: Lucy, Alice, Poppy, Sophie, Emma

OK but not keen:
Rosalind - lovely but will get shortened
Eleanor- fine but will be Ellie
Sadie
Keira
Ruby

Awful:
Elowen - because you are mispronouncing it.
Iley (eye-lee)

Love Elowen

ObieJoyful · 16/11/2024 13:16

I’ve always loved the name Sophie.

Lucy would be my next favourite.

BESTAUNTB · 16/11/2024 13:14

Love them! Such a stylish list.

My least favourite is Keira because it seems “of its time” (I know quite a few young adults who were named that when Love Actually came out). A naughties vibe for me, although it’s pretty and my ex DH and I liked it when I was first pregnant in 2003.

Moreteaandchocolate · 16/11/2024 13:06

Lucy and Alice my favourites

Ruby and Poppy - lovely

Elowen - lovely but I pronounce it with the emphasis on “ow” so may have pronunciation issues

Rosalind - prefer Rosa / Rose / Rosie

Keira - nice

Sophie and Emma - timeless classics - I know too many adults with these names to use them personally

Iley (eye-lee) - pretty - poss pronunciation/ spelling issues

Sadie - nice and less commonly used

Eleanor - love but Ellie is very overused

I would choose Lucy or Alice 😊

BoleynMemories13 · 16/11/2024 12:40

Alice or Emma for me, with Lucy and Ruby next choices. Sophie is a lovely classic too.

You have a nice list.

BaronessBomburst · 16/11/2024 12:39

Rosalind!
Beautiful, classic, easy to spell and pronounce, not that common.
