boy/girl twins Pele and Cartier.

Arabica · 29/04/2008 00:28

Uton. Named after his mum's favourite place--Luton.

I've also met a woman with 'Jordon' tattooed on her arm, because she'd just given her DD the name. She was actually naming her after Katie Price. But when she went to the tattoo parlour she couldn't remember how to spell Jordan--and nor could he!

Taneesha

alfiesbabe · 28/04/2008 23:29

Rockzanna. Rocky for short. . Seems to be more of a problem with girls names - I've also come across a Linzee, Mellony, Aimee, and Emilee.
Also, what's with this thing about taking a perfectly good name that starts with C and changing it to K eg Khloe, Kristopher? Weird.

expatinscotland · 28/04/2008 23:19

I worked with a woman who had a daughter called

T'hani. Pronounced, Ta-hahney.

And another daughter called:
V'nice. Pronounced 'Vah-neese'.

ninedragons · 28/04/2008 23:16

My husband used to work with a Chlorophyll. She's a very successful 40-something lawyer.

A good friend used to work with a Flysnake.

And I've met a Pudenda. Beat that

You will never win the I-know-a-stupid-name competition against anyone who has ever lived in Hong Kong.

I have seen the parents of afore mentioned 'poppets' and , trust me here, they are never told it straight. sadly

Janni · 28/04/2008 22:33

I really think they should employ more registrars with a touch of the Ann Widdecombe about them, who would take these parents aside and tell it to them straight.

brrrrmmmm · 28/04/2008 22:28

Bonkerz - Emer and Oisin are totally normal Irish names ..... not weird spellings or made up!

undervalued · 28/04/2008 22:08
