Thoughts on Lumina?

Lumina is name of Latin origin. I heard it's first used in 1800s and it means 'lights'. I pronounce it LOO-me-na and potential nickname I would use, if needed, is Lumie, but I prefer Lumina.

Lucy means light too. As do Helen/Helena/ Elena. Those are Greek rather than Latin though.

I really wouldn't.

Luminous, meaning glows in the dark and is very similar as they have the same root. Will your baby glow in the dark? 🤣

I remember as a child when luminous wrist watches were all the rage. I had a child's one for Christmas one year and I was delighted. I thought it was just the ticket! 😃

It makes me think of Luminol - the stuff that forensic scientists use to find traces of blood at a murder scene.

Sounds like a medicine or a brand of light bulbs, or possibly a car.

A quick Google turns up a movie, a search engine, an online recruitment tool, a brand of Webcam, and more.

Plus Lumie is too close to Looney.

It's a popular company lighting name in Ireland and I would assume elsewhere. It also is a name of a rather famous adult actress of the 2010s, so goggle may not be her friend in years to come
