Really would have loved Michael for dc2. I told him about a year ago and he said he would have liked to be a Michael. Ach well.

Also loved Adelaide, and Adeline.
Delphine, Persephone, Constance, Clementine. All vetoed by DH as too posh/flowery/just too much. Probably right, our eventual choice was simpler but still a little unusual imo.

For girls, Felicity, which my mum dismissed as "a cat's name" (I didn't understand why until I saw Basil the Great Mouse Detective) and Lillias. For boys, Benedict and Hamish. I love the names I gave my children, I just ran out of children to name.

I plan to have more children so may still use the names on our joint list. These names were on my list but DH doesn’t like them so I will never use them.

Boys: Evan, Callum, Noah

Ginny, Connie, Stevie (too many ee sounding names in our house already so they all got vetoed). I actually think she'd have rocked any or all of those names and still kinda prefer them to the one we went with.

Nico, Nate, Eric, Kit - liked them all but when I saw DS his name was very much the one we gave him and none of those felt right in the end.

DD2 was going to be Alicia Jane, but XH hated it.

Victoria, my next choice, but XH's family immediately started saying Vicky, which I hate, as I don't like shortened names or nick names, and they wouldn't be told that DD2 would be Victoria, and not any other version (unless she chose Vicky for herself when she older) so she has Victoria as her middle name.
