If you're in the UK, how would you pronounce Asier?

Another suggestion from someone we know. It's a Basque name, and we discovered the Spanish pronunciation, but I'm really curious what comes to mind for Brits?

Also do you think it sounds too close to Vada (pronouced Vay-da) in any way?
