Would you still call your kids the same names.

Yes. Although if i knew then what I know now, I wouldnt have given them their Dads surname.

Yes .. definitely.
My eldest ( age 40) has / had a very unique rare name.. but it's become popular in last few years... but mostly spelt the English way.. we chose the original version.
Youngest named after a woman in my favourite book.
