I really love it.
Is it the pregnancy hormones? Or is it as great as I think it is?

Calling your kid Duckie = disregard for your child’s feelings.

Find a breed of duck that sounds like a name. Call child that, then use Duckie as a nickname.
(Or NCIS style change your surname to Mallard)

Wowzel · 04/10/2024 18:44

I'd go with Donald....

NeverTooEarlyForChocolate · 04/10/2024 18:44

Duckie McDuckface would be better 😂

Nope, you can’t call your baby Duckie, it would be cruel.

UpUpUpU · 04/10/2024 18:44

Not unless you want them to hate you forever.

A nickname by all means.

Heybearu · 04/10/2024 18:43

DoreenonTill8 · 04/10/2024 18:43

Its a beautiful, beautiful nickname
And fine for a baby, but doesn't work well for a grown up..
It wouldn't work well at a board meeting,

What about Dora it's a lovely name and Dora dick or Duckie would be fine for a nickname

Bristolnewcomer · 04/10/2024 18:43

you can call them whatever you like but no one wants to be called Duckie on official anything so please give them a proper name too

Wishimaywishimight · 04/10/2024 18:43

Go right ahead. They will thank you for it one day, promise 🤣

Azerothi · 04/10/2024 18:43

If you want your child to be mercilessly bullied his whole life call him what you like.

toastofthetown · 04/10/2024 18:42

It’s a cute nickname, but I don’t like it as full name. For me it fails the ‘would I want this to be my name’ test.

Mooburger · 04/10/2024 18:41

Good god no.
