Strong girl names

I'm after girls names that are strong, pretty and not frequently used. The names we quite like all seem pretty different to each other, so I'm not sure it would help to give examples, especially since none are 'quite right' but I'll try:

  • Rosa - too popular
  • Beatrix - we don't like the shortenings
  • Frieda - just not convinced
  • Domino - the pizza chain link is a shame!
  • Juno - can't use
  • Delphi - seems a little unfinished, but then Delphine seems quite fussy
  • Tess - a bit simple?
  • Celeste - not sure it sounds that 'strong'

Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks :)

I actually know a Domino! She's been a bouncer before and is currently a debt collector/bailiff, she's hard as nails. I wonder sometimes if she's had to become tough because of her slightly silly name. À la "A Boy Named Sue".

I'd vote for Tess, I've always had a fondness for it.

I almost called my child Celeste, until my eldest rhymed it with molest. I couldn't say the name, without the word 'molest' popping into my head. I ended up calling her something else. I don't think it's a particularly strong sounding name anyhow. Strong ones are, Claudia, Victoria, Freya, Alexander, Harriet.

I work with an incredibly wonderful and fierce Vashti, and the Old Testament Purim story is pretty baller. Also fond of Vida, Avis, Samara and Zara.

I've just heard the name Arelis which means Lion of God & I love it.

🤣 She was Alexander the Great’s wife so Queen/Empress of much of the world at one point. A good few years before The Police released Roxanne 😁.
