Baby boy due in September and my OH likes this name. How would you pronounce it? With a hard T or a soft th? And which spelling? What do you all think of the name? Many thanks!

Relative in Australia is Anthony pronounced hard T.

I would spell it Antony - to cease deliberaion on the pronunciation and spelling.

Then they'll always have say "without an h". Antony Blinken doesn't have an h and I've even seen his name misspelled on captions.

Anthony is the spelling.

Pronunciation is the hard 't', like at the start of Thomas.

I've only heard the Anth version twice and I know a lot of Anthonys.

Thank you all! We're in southern England and both English. My OH said with a hard T which I'm quite happy with but I wasn't sure on what was the typical spelling. I am happy to go with the majority rule!

I grew up in the south. Lots of Anthony’s at school always with the T sound. Moved north and suddenly they are all Anthony’s with a TH. it really irritates me!
So I would choose depending on where you live and how it’s pronounced.

It’s always pronounced Antony in the UK, but the one I know without the H spends his life correcting it.

I also know a Nicolas (French) who lives here and has the same problem.
