Hi Everyone, hope I have done this, right ? Quite new to this..

Looking for inspiration on a Girls name. Like the different spelling to common names . Ideally Would.like to contuine the L. And 'end 'e' sound. But I'm quite open.

I'm expecting my 3rd girl and have no clue to a name..

We have Laycie & Lucie

Thank you to everyone in advance xx

Some MAD spellings on this thread.

OP, you have got some great suggestions here but as a teacher I implore you to at least choose a standard spelling (e.g, Lily not Lillie) and spare your child the grief of having to spell out their name to others for the rest of their life.

People will get over it

Crunchymum · 18/07/2024 15:38

You have a Lacey and Lucy you say?

I currently teach a Lani (rhymes with Marnie) which is lovely.

Izzynohopanda · 18/07/2024 04:36

Loretta
Louella
Layla

FangsForTheMemory · 18/07/2024 03:39

I used to know a Laleh. Might work for you?

Theoldwoman · 18/07/2024 02:00

Wow your girls almost have the same name!

Laycie, Lucie and:

Lunie
Louise

I don’t personally like the trend of naming humans this way, sorry.

However, Lottie, Laurie, Liberty or Liddie would go if you’re adamant this is what you want to do.

If it had to be an L name, as much as you want the ie at the end too, a different ending would be a far nicer option.

Lila
Lyra
Leila
Lilian/Lillianne
Liana
Lana
Lara
Leona

Possumly · 16/07/2024 07:52

I agree that not picking another L name would be best. Too often people think they need sibling names to go together, rather than pick a name that would be nice for the child, and that the parents just like.
Saydee?
😏

I've always liked Limberly.

I agree, it's perfect

aveline161 · 15/07/2024 07:43

Lexie

MsNorburry · 15/07/2024 07:43

Stella
Sadie
Sally

You"ve boxed your self in badly with laycie and lucie sounding so alike.

MsNorburry · 15/07/2024 07:41

Estelle popped into my head as another name that sounds like a sister to the girls you've got,- but not like kittens!!

Cherubs4 · 15/07/2024 03:42

Liselotte

RogueFemale · 15/07/2024 02:47

@Emmloui I'm expecting my 3rd girl and have no clue to a name..

Lala, Lilee, Lyndy?

salamithumbs · 14/07/2024 22:53

Alessia shortened to Lessie? Or Lydia?

Babaquestions · 14/07/2024 22:32

I'd avoid another name ending in 'ee' sound as Laycie and Lucy sound and look very similar. Maybe another L name (not ending in ee sound) eg Leah, Laura?

yhk · 14/07/2024 22:31

I've always liked Limberly.

salamithumbs · 14/07/2024 22:28

Or you could do Anneliese or Elisa with the nickname Liesl? Also like the previous suggestion of Lissie as a nickname of Alyssa

salamithumbs · 14/07/2024 22:24

Lottie, Lily, Libbie or Lexie? Or Livvie short for Olivia?
Or if it can be any L name, then:
Lara
Lyra
Linnea
Lila
Lola
Laila
Lorelai
Leilani
Liana
Lena
Laura
Lorna
Luna

SanMarzano · 14/07/2024 21:58

Yikes

OctaviaRedQueen · 14/07/2024 19:50

Mind went straight to Lillie

sciencemama · 14/07/2024 19:38

Leili (rhymes with Hayley)
Linzi
Lollie

KnickerlessParsons · 14/07/2024 18:23

SanMarzano · 14/07/2024 12:21

Lily seems like the obvious choice?

Or Lillee
