I have heard these, which would you think when you read it?

  1. Kay-us
  2. Kye-us
  3. Keys
  4. Something else?

Definitely Kye-us.
I know two and they both pronounce it that way.

Kye-us. The Cambridge college pronounciation is a random made up version

Yes it's literally something he completely made up as far as I knew. His name was said as Keys and he used the spelling Caius but kept the pronunciation Keys.

I really don't think many people would say Keys for a baby even if they knew the college was pronounced that way.

I've never heard it as a first name so I would assume Keys like the college.

Alfie or Teddy

Thanks, the college is definitely Keys but from what I've read online the name isn't

Chaos 😂

Melroses · 08/07/2024 17:56

Pronouncing it as "Keys" would be naming your child after an Oxbridge college.

The college is Keys though but I don't think most people would pronounce it that way.
