Does it give any specific impressions? I would appreciate your opinions.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I initially think of Morgana Robinson, the female comedian.
Personally, I don't like a name that has 'Morgue' in it 😬

IsadoraQuagmire · 22/05/2024 19:00

Morgan le Fay. And Morgan the third eldest daughter in "Guard Your Daughters" by Diana Tutton.

theteddybear · 22/05/2024 18:57

I used to love that name for a girl when I was a teen. I still think it's nice. I got it from Sabrina the Teenage which one of her room mates had that name.

I actually think of it as more of a girls name but I know others think it's more for a male.

TheFluffiestCat · 22/05/2024 18:56

I was at college with an American girl called Morgan so I think of her. I've never met another of either sex.

spamandeggs · 22/05/2024 18:55

It reminds me of Sabrina's friend in Sabrina The teenage witch(1990s') . Loved the name for a girl ever since :)

@happybluefern Morwen isn't - it has a different meaning.

I went away and looked it up and found this out! I think they’re all nice though.

Haveanaiceday · 22/05/2024 18:54

I think of Morgan Le Fay too.

I quite like it. It has a similar feel to Shannon.

Diddleyeyeeye · 22/05/2024 18:47

Love it

AdaColeman · 22/05/2024 18:46

Named after a make of car.

Swissrollover · 22/05/2024 18:46

In the UK, it is a boy's name for me. I've only known male Morgan's here, but when in US, it was considered a girl's name.

Buffypaws · 22/05/2024 18:46

I think Morgan le Fay

chocolatecoveredpeanut · 22/05/2024 18:45

I think of American first then a bit too much about the likelyhood of them wearing hoopy earrings if I am honest.

RogueFemale · 22/05/2024 18:45

American.

Twiglets1 · 22/05/2024 18:44

Yes I think "chav" sorry if that isn't what you want to hear but I'm being honest.

PoppingTomorrow · 22/05/2024 18:36

Wasn't she Morgana?

Or Morgane or Morgaine or various other Latinised or Frenchified versions of Morgen, the original Welsh or Breton name.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 22/05/2024 18:43

I know 2 Morgans and both are girls
So tbh I think of it as a girls name.

TheCultureHusks · 22/05/2024 18:42

Boys name, or possibly Americana - like Taylor.

However I know a Morgaine and that’s lovely.

GoBonobo · 22/05/2024 18:42

I know a couple of female Morgan’s (mid-late teen age) so not common, but not totally unheard of either, both are lovely, hardworking girls and I like the name (but I generally quite like unisex names) . One was shortened to ‘Morg’ by her BF which I don’t think she was thrilled about, so you might want to think about nickname options.

Bemusedandconfusedagain · 22/05/2024 18:40

90s clubbing gear and American horses

Wasn't she Morgana?

Depends on the version, there’s variations of Morgaine/Morgana/Morgan. . I’m assuming Morwen and Morven also come from the same root although could be wrong.

PoppingTomorrow · 22/05/2024 18:36

happybluefern · 22/05/2024 18:33

i think of Morgan le fay from the King Arthur story and I like it for that reason.

Wasn't she Morgana?

ArcticBells · 22/05/2024 18:35

The parents must be American. Same as Taylor for a girl. All very American
