Please can you tell me what short / affectionate forms are used for Anastasia?
For a child with the name, not a new baby.

I know a Nastya. She's Siberian and says this is a common diminutive.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 21/05/2024 21:39

I have a work contact who goes by Tasya which I think is lovely

Came on to say (1) I absolutely love this name in its full form and (2) I like Stasia as a short form of it 😍

jackstini · 21/05/2024 21:33

I know a Stasia - in her 20s

PitterPatter3 · 21/05/2024 21:29

Star

Stasia

miniaturepixieonacid · 21/05/2024 21:20

I used to teach one who went by Stasi (pronounced Star-zee).

I like Anya even though it's really a diminutive for Anna. Also Asia which is pronounced like Asha.

Anka and Tansy I love.
Nastoosha too.

I know an Ansty and a Nancy, both about 60, but Anastasia doesn't think those are cool.

Stacey of course, but that's hardly fashionable.

Knew a Polish family who used to call their daughter Anastasia 'Nastoosha', not sure how that's spelled. Doesn't really work in English I suppose.

Queenfreak · 21/05/2024 20:28

Oh I like Tansy
