Yep, Jude has definitely been having a moment. It was barely used before Jude Law became famous in the late 90’s (maybe because of the German word/Nazi link, maybe due to the depressing Hardy novel, maybe due to Judas , who knows) - but it now seems to be the new John or James. Will be interesting to see if it’s still very popular in 50 years the way James has always been.

I really like the name Jude but I’m currently in a baby group with three Judes. I think it’s really popular. Gabriel is my other favourite on that list.

You also need to be prepared for some to be shortened , i.e. Thomas - Tom, Gabriel - Gabe etc.
