Thoughts on Dylan? Open to other Welsh boy names suggestions

I'm really liking Dylan more and more, and love the meaning behind it too.
I've been trying to find a Welsh boys name that works well in England (no ruining of pronunciation), we live in the south east but my mum's family are Welsh so would love to honour the heritage with a name without ruining it with English accents 😂

@IntriguingFactJumble , her celtic names are made up but loosely based on Welsh.

@ShinyEspeon , It's a bit like someone saying Percy-fone or Hermy-own.

I have a Dylan, I didn't know how it was pronounced in Wales!
I still love it the most of all my children's names, but I'm somewhat concerned I've been offending some Welsh people now!

Rhodry was my mistake, apologies. I came across it in Katharine Kerr's Deverry series about 30 years ago.

Dylan is DULL-ann in Welsh. He'll be Dillun.
Sean isn't Welsh. Siôn is but will get said as Sigh-un.
Geraint will get mispronounced
Gareth will be 'Garruth'
Dafydd will be mispronounced and misspelt
Dai will get Day and Di
Meirion will get said as Merrion and misspelt
Rhodry is a misspelling of Rhodri

Ceri will be mispronounced and misspelt, and will be thought of as a girl's name
Eirian will be mispronounced and misspelt, and will be thought of as a girl's name

Gawain will be mispronounced and misspelt

Gwydion will be mispronounced and misspelt

Dulan AFAIK isn't a Welsh name, but will be mispronounced and misspelt

Efor (think its Ivan in English?) or Yolin?
Efor isn't a name but Ifor is, but is anglicised as Ivor not Ivan.
Yolin isn't a Welsh name.
Floyd isn't Welsh

Quite a few of the suggestions seem quite middle-aged.

Dylan should be pronounced Dull-an if you want it pronounced the Welsh way, but it England everyone will just say Dill-an I'm afraid.

Owen, Tali, Elis (it is spelt with 1 L in Welsh) Huw, are all nice.

I found a shortage of Welsh names I liked though to be honest. May be due to associating names with people growing up though.

I love Dylan pronounced the Welsh way, but it doesn't work if you're looking for a Welsh name that won't be pronounced differently in England.

Owen! This is my youngest grandson name. It's spelt Eoin and pronounced Owen.

My daughter is half Irish by her dad side. My 2nd husband, her stepdad, is Welsh. Hence, it was a nod both ways.

I don't think the ex was over happy, but that's his problem.

Also, Tudor, which is my BiL, name us Welsh. It gets shortened to Tud. My husband name is David

So my options are with names shortened too, usually

Owen or Eoin spelling
David (Usually shortened to Dai)
Tudor (Tud for short)

It's my DH name, he's from North Wales and it's pronounced dull-ann instead of dil-ann xxx

That's how they say it in Ireland too

I like Dylan, Tomos and Owen. I also love Llyr.

There was a contestant on an afternoon game show this past week called Llyr, he spent the whole show being called Clear. He explained how it was pronounced, presenter almost got it then immediately reverted to Clear.

For Dylan most non-Welsh will think (wrongly) that they know how to pronounce it.

Aled, Marc, Owen, Elis, Wyn, Bryn - all straightforward pronunciation though may be mispelled

Rhodri, Huw, Hefin, Morgan, Rhys, Sion, pronunciation likely won't be quite right but may be near enough.

I like Nye (short for Aneurin)

Owain, Alun, Llŷr, Llewelyn, Tudur, Dylan, will all be mispronounced at first/by some.
