Both gorgeous!! You can’t go wrong with either choice.

AndBeyond · 20/04/2024 08:03

James is great - my favourite. But i also really like Jacob

Harry and Jack are fine, but prefer the other two by a long way

CadyEastman · 20/04/2024 07:31

Out of your list I'd go for James. Everyone I've ever met has been the most lovely, smiley person Wink

vanillaclouds · 20/04/2024 07:31

How about Brad?

Aww love them both, I have a Harry and a Jack 🙂

Me too! Mine are both adults now. Our Jack was named just before the first resurgence of the name and whilst being very very popular I still love the it.

Axx · 20/04/2024 07:15

James

Fulshaw · 20/04/2024 07:15

I like James but didn’t use it as I don’t like the nicknames - Jim, Jamie, Jam. You have to think about what it might be shortened to as you can’t control that.

Shimmeringstar · 20/04/2024 07:13

We have a 3 syllable surname ending in -son and we have a Jack, it works perfectly’

amz4 · 20/04/2024 07:12

I prefer James out of the four, Jacob is nice as well 😊

Maddy70 · 20/04/2024 07:02

Every harry i have ever met has been lovely. Im a teacher.

LlynTegid · 20/04/2024 07:01

I'd choose Jack.

pilates · 20/04/2024 06:59

Jack is my favourite

Sunnnybunny72 · 20/04/2024 06:56

James by a mile

Jadedbuthappy82 · 20/04/2024 05:36

Aww love them both, I have a Harry and a Jack 🙂

DappledThings · 20/04/2024 04:52

I wouldn't have either as a standalone name. John or Henry, known as Jack.or Harry. Probably John (Jack) as a first choice

user1492757084 · 20/04/2024 04:02

Harry or James.

RogueFemale · 20/04/2024 03:25

P.S. Kings' names are usually good. So, James is better than Jack, or Harry.

octoberfarm · 20/04/2024 03:20

Jack, but I like both!

RogueFemale · 20/04/2024 03:18

breezefromthesea · 19/04/2024 09:39

And James?

Yes, James!

DramaAlpaca · 20/04/2024 03:10

James is my absolute favourite, followed by Harry. For Harry, I'd have to go with the traditional Henry on the birth cert because I don't like diminutives as standalone names.

Jack is nice enough but I'm old enough to see it as a diminutive of John, even though I know it's a name in its own right these days.

Jacob is OK, but it doesn't really please me. I like Jake a lot, but would want Jacob on the bc as it's a diminutive... but I don't get excited about Jacob so I'd probably rule it out altogether.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 19/04/2024 23:06

James is lovely - so classic and timeless with a variety of nn’s if he wants them. It’s by far the “safest” of your options in that regards.

I do have a soft spot for friendly sounding Jack as second choice ( although nothing wrong with Jacob and Harry as such).

shoopshoopdedoo · 19/04/2024 21:08

Love James, Harry and Jack - in that order. Not a fan of Jacob.

Beatrixslobber · 19/04/2024 10:41

breezefromthesea · 19/04/2024 09:39

And James?

The best boys name ever imo

Uncooperativefingers · 19/04/2024 10:21

They (Jacob and James) have the same linguistic routes though. I think they both mean something like "follower" Hebrew (as in disciple), if that matters to you

Eze · 19/04/2024 10:19

Jack.
