Seen this name on a lot of baby name sites is it said Es(me) or Es(may) or something completely different?

S May. No Z.

museumum · 07/04/2024 18:10

Ez-may or Es-mae with the stress on the Ez.

SnapdragonToadflax · 07/04/2024 18:10

It's Es-may. It's French. With or without the accent, it's still Es-may.

sosuemee · 07/04/2024 18:10

Es-me (not may)

I’ve heard it as Ez-mee and Ez-may. My default would be to pronounce it Ez-me, but I have no idea why.

Geebray · 07/04/2024 18:07

Ezmay. Because that is how it is pronounced.

missshilling · 07/04/2024 18:07

If it has the accent then it should be Esmay. Esmé

Notreat · 07/04/2024 17:45

I pronounce it Ez May because I knew someone who pronounced their name that way. But I assume it can be pronounced either way.
