It sounds awful in some accents. It's 'Awluh' where I am

Allaboutme23 · 29/03/2024 20:48

Orla is still unusual, graceful and loved by most people.

Sashamalia · 29/03/2024 20:42

Nina is lovely

Mamoun · 29/03/2024 20:38

Nina all the way

IVFlife · 29/03/2024 20:29

I work in a school so i would vote Nina.

Others are lovely buy extreemly popular. But if that doesn't bother you then all are fab.

Sashamalia · 29/03/2024 20:28

Have any ops ever come back on mumsnet and said what they named their baby? I'd love to know

Kitkat1523 · 29/03/2024 20:25

Nina

Creamcoconut · 29/03/2024 20:16

Orla Jean is beautiful

Sashamalia · 29/03/2024 20:12

Nina!

There are too many Eva's.

And I don't like Orla

DiscoBeat · 28/03/2024 22:04

Nina - the others are so over used!

serin · 28/03/2024 21:57

Nina

WonderMum22 · 28/03/2024 17:36

Sorry, wrong place for my post! I vote for Nina 😍

eachmorningiwakeup · 28/03/2024 15:38

Nina doesn’t sound drippy and insubstantial to me - Nina Simone must be among the least drippy, most substantial women ever! I love it.

Eva and Orla also gorgeous!

Orla only sounds right if you have an Irish accent. Eva is a beautiful name but too popular. I’m not keen on Nina.

I agree.

Orla in a standard English accent sounds awful, but it's beautiful with the rhotic 'r' sound that Irish and Scottish accents have.

Nina is insubstantial and a bit drippy.

Eva is beautiful but there are so many similar names these days it won't stand out. I voted for Eva as the best of the bunch.

I really like Jean as a middle name.

TheOriginalEmu · 28/03/2024 00:33

I would have said Nina but Nina Jean doesn’t flow well for me. My brain wants to say Nina Jeana.
Orla is lovely.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 28/03/2024 00:16

Orla is my favourite of the 3

mathanxiety · 28/03/2024 00:00

I'd only choose Orla if you have a rhotic R.

Nina is nice, but I think there are too many Ns in the full name.

Eva Jean is the nicest imo.

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 28/03/2024 00:00

I know this isn't on your list but kinda a mix of 2 of your names.. what about Nola? Nola-Jean 😊

MurderousCheekbones · 27/03/2024 23:40

I love Nina!

wineosaurus4 · 27/03/2024 23:35

2 years on that was meant to say!

wineosaurus4 · 27/03/2024 23:34

I have a Nina! My other choice was Orla but I'm glad I went with Nina. Everyone comments on how lovely her name is and I still love it almost / years on Smile

ColleenDonaghy · 27/03/2024 23:26

Where do you live? I wouldn't like Awla if people don't pronounce their Rs.

I vote Nina.

Not Eva, too many Eva/Eve/Evie/Ava/Éabha/Isla s around.

Moreteaandchocolate · 27/03/2024 23:24

I voted for Eva, as it’s the one I’d most like to be called myself. Nina would be second place!

jackstini · 27/03/2024 22:33

Nina, beautiful and very underused
