Flower/plant middle name for ‘Bronwyn’

Can you lovely bunch help me find a flower or plant name as a middle name for ‘Bronwyn’ please?

We liked ‘Lily’ as a name but I’m not sure it sits well next to Bronwyn? Ivy would be perfect but that’s my first’s middle name 🤦‍♀️

There's no circumflex on Haf

StoatofDisarray · 23/02/2024 17:50

Daisy was the first one that came to my mind too.

Cameraclick · 23/02/2024 17:47

also Bronwen Nel
Bronwen Fflur
Bronwen Mair
Bronwen Hâf
Bronwen Eleri
Bronwen Carys

LauderSyme · 23/02/2024 17:39

I think Bronwen Lily sounds lovely and flows well together.

Bronwen Flora
Bronwen Calla
Bronwen Sorrel
Bronwen Tansy
Bronwen Anthea
Bronwen Sage

@SurvivalKits , what will happen is obvious from this thread.

The -wyn ending implies it's a boy's name, but boys don't get called Bronwyn.
Bronwen translates as Breast+blessed.

Ivy would be perfect but that’s my first’s middle name

Why is that a problem? Aren't middle names usually after family members? Why not use Ivy?

Re the spelling problem: as a different example Robin is usually for a boy and Robyn is usually for a girl but I much prefer the Robin spelling and know some girls called Robin. Is it not possible at all to use Bronwyn? What's going to happen?

Edited

Everyone who speaks Welsh will know that it is spelt wrong.

That may or may not be a problem for the OP.

momtoboys · 23/02/2024 17:19

I think that with Bronwen (beautiful, BTW) you need a one syllable middle name -

Bronwen Rose
Bronwen Fern

Bronwen Blodeuwedd?

OK maybe not really but it really is the ultimate flower name!

Just a note that the Welsh name is Bronwen.

-wyn is a masculine name ending, as in Arwyn, Carwyn, Cledwyn, Dilwyn, Elwyn, Tegwyn etc.

-wen is the feminine ending

This.

Fflur is a bit of a filler middle name, as are Mai (May) and Haf (Summer). Bronwen Lili would work.
Bronwen Gwyddfid
Bronwen Mair
Bronwen Elin

** Elwyn is not of Welsh origin but is used in Wales.

Bronwen is lovely.

Mwnci123 · 23/02/2024 17:09

Maybe something that's in bloom around the time she's due, if possible?

Also Bronwen and definitely not Bronwyn.

My husband said we need to spell it Bronwen because of this but I just love the ‘wyn’ 😂 thank you though, will probably need to be Bronwen then!

takemeawayagain · 23/02/2024 17:01

I think Bronwyn Violet could flow nicely with the right surname.

rubyslippers · 23/02/2024 17:00

Rose

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 23/02/2024 16:59

Bronwen Ffion keeps the Welsh and flower themes.

PurplePansy05 · 23/02/2024 16:58

It should be Bronwen.

Bronwen Iris is lovely.
