Live in the uk for context. I feel like if we lived in America it would be fine!
It's just such a sweet name, Huckleberry. But he'd definitely hate me right?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MidnightSerenader · 18/02/2024 00:47

It’s a nickname, not an actual name!!

Moveoverdarlin · 18/02/2024 00:47

What in the actual Huck are you thinking?

Ilovesandwiches · 18/02/2024 00:45

Nooooo!x

littlemousebigcheese · 17/02/2024 23:14

Love it!

ProcrastinatingWithVipers · 17/02/2024 23:14

Hormones!

It makes me think of the noise Goofy makes!

PermanentTemporary · 17/02/2024 23:08

I really... don't think so, sorry. At this stage I was all set to call ds Red. We did not call him Red.

DodgeDog · 17/02/2024 23:07

Mac or Jack

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 17/02/2024 23:06

Huck is not a name, it is the noise one makes when clearing one's throat.

Well, it ought not to be a name.

PiggieWig · 17/02/2024 23:05

How about Hudson?

I love Huck in theory, but the kid has to live with this name forever, so sorry.

User19798 · 17/02/2024 23:04

I know a man called Huck, he lives in Mississippi as is appropriate.

fruitbrewhaha · 17/02/2024 23:02

Huck no

Ellmau · 17/02/2024 23:02

You do know what it rhymes with?

ShadowOfTheSeason · 17/02/2024 23:01

Great for a dog!

CountFucula · 17/02/2024 22:57

Write it down and revisit once the baby is born and you’ve regained the run of yourself

I think it’s cute! I know a little Huxley who gets called Hux which I think is really sweet too.

He might wish he had an actual first name not a surname when he's older.

WallaceinAnderland · 17/02/2024 22:55

No hucking way!

ShareTheDuvet · 17/02/2024 22:55

@TheHorneSection I wanted Jed too! Or Keir after Keir Hardie - that would have been awkward now 😬😳😄

Bigearringsbigsmile · 17/02/2024 22:53

Yes
Please don't

Sellingbedtime · 17/02/2024 22:52

I knew if someone who used this as their sons middle name...

DancefloorAcrobatics · 17/02/2024 22:51

Reminds me of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

Please don't do it!

barelyfunctional · 17/02/2024 22:45

I think it’s cute! I know a little Huxley who gets called Hux which I think is really sweet too.

TheHorneSection · 17/02/2024 22:43

Hormones.

About the same stage I fancied calling DS “Jed” after President Bartlett.

Wait it out.

noodlesfortea · 17/02/2024 22:30

The I see where you're coming from, but no, hormones have definitely got the better of you.

EmpressaurusOfTheScathingTinsel · 17/02/2024 22:28

It’s hormones. Sweet is a bad thing when it comes to names & Huck rhymes with fuck.

handfulofsugar · 17/02/2024 22:26

Yuk for huck . Hormones are the best
