Looking for something like Thea

Can’t seem to find just the right name. Have kept coming back to Thea (Thee-a) but DH worries it might be too close to Leah and there is one in the family:

love Raphaelle as it’s a favourite Tav character- feisty etc so positive connotations but wonder might not work in UK.

Trying to think of strong, simple, feisty names (yes I know Raphaelle isn’t 🤣

Ooh that’s interesting. Didn’t think people would do that but funnily enough my friend who is Irish suggested Fia

I think unless you are in Ireland this sounds like someone who can’t say Thea

I like Raphaelle - v underused for girls, Thea is a bit overdone just because of all the Theos

Unless the Leah is one of your DC or lives in your household it seems a non issue to use Thea, a name that rhymes.

Beaver may well be a sister for Balonze 👌🏻

I'm voting for Thea ❤️

Onelife2024 · 04/02/2024 21:16

I really like Thea and don’t think it matters at all about rhyming with her cousin’s name.

I also love pp’s suggestion of Cleo - that’s got a similar feisty feel to me.

Raffy, Raff, Raphael are ubiquitous at the moment (we have 3 out of 25 all under 2-4) so unless she wants the same name as a ton of boys then I wouldn't.
