@ChocolateCinderToffee , I'd think many would say Lucy-a, Luce-ee-a or Loosha.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 03/02/2024 16:38

Lucia. I think most people would know how to pronounce it the Italian way.

Victoria Rose sounds like a sexy underwear brand.

KirstenBlest · 03/02/2024 15:30

Belle - not keen on Belle. Too close to Bellend and Belly

Victoria - Victoria is nice but willbe Vicky

Rose - Rose is OK

Lucia - Loo-sha, Lucy-a, Loo-see-a or Lootch-ee-a? Too complicated. Just use Lucy

Rose as a middle name is boring and predictable

Lucinda is horrible

Pieceofpurplesky · 03/02/2024 14:53

Lucia Belle
Victoria Rose

Beautiful names. Or play around with Rose?
Rosalie Belle

LadyEloise1 · 03/02/2024 14:51

I know a Victoria Rose, she is lovely.
Her name really suits her.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 03/02/2024 14:50

Victoria rose is gorgeous.

Don't like belle
Lucia will have people going " luchia or looseea?"

MeadowSoaprano · 03/02/2024 14:48

All Fine. Victoria likely to be shortened and I'm not keen on Vicky but that's just me. Lucia - I would expect you to be Italian.

CatStoleMyChocolate · 03/02/2024 14:42

Oh, and Lucia is lovely but she will spend her life in the U.K. explaining how to pronounce it!

A very underused name I rather like is Lucinda - Lucinda Rose would work well.

CatStoleMyChocolate · 03/02/2024 14:41

If you like Belle, how about Annabelle or Isabelle? Annabelle Rose or Annabelle Victoria would both be nice options and Belle could be a nickname.

I like Rose as a first name but not sure Rose Victoria flows well - I think Victoria Rose sounds much better.

MaloneMeadow · 03/02/2024 14:34

Lucia 100% - pretty & classy, not overused

Belle is too Disney Princess and won’t age well
Rose is really nice but quite common
Victoria I’m not a fan of but not sure why!

Wolfpa · 03/02/2024 14:08

The problem with anything that contains Belle is it is a very hard name to pull off, everyone I know with Belle anywhere in their name who is not classically beautiful have had tough times being the butt of people’s jokes at school and in the workplace.

BebbanburgIsMine · 03/02/2024 14:05

Victoria Rose is beautiful, Victoria is my DDs middle name.

It would have been her first name but XH's family immediately started saying Vicky (before she was born) and I can't stand shortened names, so DD2 got another name that can't be shortened.

XH's family also called DD1 the shortened version of her name, even though DD herself said she hated.

Victoria is perfect. It is classic, not too common with nice history and will never goout of style.

Victoria Wren
Victoria Lucia
Victoria Rosa
Victoria Jean
Victoria Camille
Victoria Skye
Victoria Bridie

beachyone1904 · 03/02/2024 13:59

the name belle sounds lovely

Onelife2024 · 03/02/2024 13:52

I love Lucia - gorgeous name. Lucia Victoria or Lucia Belle are lovely.

My second favourite is Victoria- as long as you don’t mind Vicky (I like it).

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 03/02/2024 13:36

What about Lucia belle?

Moonshine5 · 03/02/2024 13:33

Drop the double barrel
Lucia out of the list
Belle is nice but itself

Mama0ftw0 · 03/02/2024 13:32

@miniaturepixieonacid Victoria and Lucia so far.
What you wrote has helped me though because I was not sure whether Victoria is old now? And would be odd in years to come.
I do really like it.
thank you again

@miniaturepixieonacid Thank you for this.

Makes sense what you said regarding Rose.
I was going to go with Victoria in full however I know many will shorten it.
Thank you very much.

miniaturepixieonacid · 03/02/2024 13:29

Sorry, cross posted. You like Lucia best. My (or anyone else's) opinion is irrelevant!

miniaturepixieonacid · 03/02/2024 13:28

I like Victoria Rose and Rose Victoria.

Yes, Rose is used a lot as a middle name but that's because it's pretty and goes with almost any name. Like the Jane of the 1970s and 1980s but prettier imo (Not being rude, my middle name is Jane). It's far less used as a first name.

If you went with Belle Victoria Rose then I agree the Rose is uneccessary. I'd also flip them and use Victoria Belle. I don't like Vicky as a shortening but Toria and Vita are good alternatives. Or keep the full name.

I don't really like Lucia. Prefer Loo-see-a to Loo-chee-a but not a fan of either.

Mama0ftw0 · 03/02/2024 13:25

Lucia Victoria no?

Mama0ftw0 · 03/02/2024 13:24

@Funkyslippers so true. There are many ways.

thank you very much.

@theduchessofspork thank you for the info on Belle. It really helps because sometimes people don’t know certain things. Thank you.
I do like Victoria and Lucia so far the most.
