Honest Opinion on Girls Name Needed

Hello

Currently trying to decide on a name for a girl.

If anyone has a bit of time, would appreciate some honest opinions on the below. Also welcome to drop some ideas in the comments. Really struggling.

Rose does have a meaning but I did not realise just how popular it is.

I just keep going over and over them. I like to look across social media as some profiles list names etc.

Rose is a popular middle name but so what. Victoria Rose is really lovely.

I just don't like the typical nickname of Vicky for Victoria. I do know a Victoria who has managed to avoid that though (although she does get called V a lot).

It's always good to get opinions somewhere like this, but ultimately, go with your gut feeling. Rose, for example, gets criticism for being popular and overused. But it's popular because a lot of people love it, and if you love it too then use it.

Also, don't feel like you need to have her name set in stone just yet. Thinking of names you like is fine, but when she's here and you are saying her name out loud and using it all day every day you might feel more connected to one name or another.

Lucia is lovely. Lots of Roses around and not sure re Belle. I like Victoria but wouldn’t be keen on them potentially ending up as Vicky, which I don’t like, so I wouldn’t go for it myself.

Thank you to everyone who sent a reply. I really appreciate it.

I am open to name suggestions because I am really struggling to pick a name. Therefore, maybe a new name is the way forward because I just can’t decide and things have swayed me away some of the ones I mentioned. Rose I did not realise how overused it is but it does have meaning for me.
Belle I completely didn’t realise about Disney. I think I completely forgot as I always think Beauty. Also I didn’t realise about the bad side.

Belle - I just can't like it, it reminds me of beauty and the beast and also of those little cheese babybels.
Rose - I would only include it if you really love the flowers.
Lucia and Victoria - I love both of these.

So from your list I would choose
Lucia Victoria or Lucia Victoria Rose.

Some similar names if you want more suggestions:

I've just checked Darker Green and you're right! Daisy is much more popular than I realised. Scratch that one. I still stand by the statement Belle is naff(er). It's a Disney princess ffs (and the pen name for a prolific escort). And as the song goes "her name means beauty" 🤢 Lastly, it's not even a 'proper' name IMO, it's a nickname at best.

Victoria Rose is my personal favourite, I love how the strength and determination of Victoria (linking to Julius Caesar’s battle victories 🏆) contrasts to the delicate femininity of Rose 🌹. Lucia is okay but actually means cow feet in Indonesian, LOL 😂

Lucia is lovely but the different pronunciations would put me off personally. You mentioned Daisy further up, I absolutely love that.
I’m unsure about Belle as a standalone name but as a pp suggested, Annabelle and Isabelle are both lovely.
For me, Victoria is ok as a middle name but not very current/fresh for a first name.

And people have been on holiday to St Lucia, which is in the Commonwealth.
It's pronounced differently in different languages.

I like Belle and love Daisy. Daisy Lucia is lovely
