Which baby girl name

Imogen
Isobel
Erin
Rose (this will likely be used as a middle name but I love it as a stand alone name too)

Background we live in Ireland & DH's family are Scottish hence the Isobel spelling rather than Isabel.

Baby will be here next month & we cannot choose or agree.

Another possibility is Freya but it's super popular atm.

Acrosstheeuniverese · 05/02/2024 22:09

Imogen Rose

Loudippity · 05/02/2024 22:04

Imogen Rose is probably the best combo IMO

Amdone123 · 05/02/2024 16:22

Like all of them.
Erin Rose is lovely.

Gullillahvit · 05/02/2024 16:17

Rose as a beautiful first name

or Isobel

playbadlycast · 05/02/2024 16:00

Isobel for me. Second choice Rose.

wherearemywellingtons · 05/02/2024 15:51

Imogen

DiscoBeat · 05/02/2024 03:07

I'd go with Erin Rose.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 05/02/2024 01:55

Erin is beautiful & suits every age . Congratulations 💐

coxesorangepippin · 05/02/2024 01:55

Isobel for me

KayEmAy · 05/02/2024 01:53

Personal order of preference -

  1. Rose - classic, short and love as a first name
  2. Isobel - beautiful, great nicknames and my favorite spelling
  3. Freya - love
  4. Erin - like
  5. Imogen - not my favorite

Isobel is one of my DC middle name for the Scottish reference!

Recently started loving Imogen as well, despite there being a few my age.

Erin seems to be hugely popular in Scotland no matter what age you are but it is lovely

I’m a bit bored of Rose to be honest.

Holidayhell22 · 04/02/2024 13:51

Imogen Rose.

CandiceEatsCandiez · 04/02/2024 13:50

I have really awful personal associations with Erin so I say Isobel or Rose but if I was able to be a bit more subjective I'd add it to the list.

lavenderjump · 04/02/2024 13:49

Imogen is my favourite. Rose has got to be the most popular girls Middle name, very over done.

SkaneTos · 03/02/2024 22:45

They are all lovely names!
My favourite would be Erin.

serin · 03/02/2024 22:42

Rose is beautiful and so classic.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 03/02/2024 18:32

Imogen is my favourite and I think Immy is cute as a nickname. Isobel nn Izzy is also cute but Isobel and all the Isabelle etc variations are a bit too popular for me. Erin is fine but I prefer names which have a shortening which Erin doesn’t really, same with Rose.

PickledScrump · 03/02/2024 18:30

The only one that isn’t incredibly popular is Imogen, all the others have been very well used over the last 15 years. My favourite of your list is Freya, Imogen would be second. I wouldn’t use Rose as a middle name as it’s the most common middle name

mathanxiety · 03/02/2024 18:25

Isobel is the name I'd choose.

Erin wouldn't be great in Ireland (it's a soup brand and the equivalent of calling your child Ireland).

Imogen comes across to me as a very twee and English sounding name.

Rose is nice but I prefer Roisin.

Freya is nice. I think it's been eclipsed by Fia at this point.

11NigelTufnel · 03/02/2024 17:20

Love Isobel, my favourite spelling of the name. There don't seem to be any around here, it's all a or ee sound ending names.

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/02/2024 15:44

I like Erin, Isobel too okay
