Boy names that are heavenly or star related

I am 18 weeks pregnant with a baby who we are likely to lose as the baby is very unwell.

I really want to name the baby and I don’t know if it is a boy or girl. I think we have a girls name sorted and we like the name Seren.

None of my boy names seem to suit anymore. I’d like a name with a meaning that either feels celestial or heavenly.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I immediately thought of Sirius, but see others have beaten me to it... it is the brightest star in the night sky.

Oh, OP. I'm so sorry, I hope that the worst doesn't happen and that somehow the situation improves for better for you and baby.

My first thought was Sirius or Cyrus. I love the idea of Gabriel too.

Stellan
Luca, Lucas, Luke or Lucien all meaning light.
Seraphim
Aster
Samson
Zion
Angelo
Darian

Keeping you and little one in mind and wishing you all the best.

It’s not over til it’s over OP. I wish you a miracle.

”Taran” is a strong boy’s name that is from different cultures. In Wales it means “Thunder” and in Norway it can mean thunder, but also means ‘wave’ or ‘to love’. In Azerbaijan Taran means music/song.

In India it has a more complex meaning that can be translated as “Heaven” or “Celestial”, or the general idea of overcoming obstacles, particularly crossing over from one state of being to another, or a raft (as in that which carries you safely to the other side).

I wish your family luck.

I was going to suggest Nova. PP beat me to it! Unisex name. We have a male cat called Nova🙂

Aglassaday · 14/01/2024 19:03

Phoenix means strength and rising from challenges I believe and is unisex so can be used for both girl or boy.
I am truly sorry to hear what you are going through OP and I wish you all the best❤

Sorry about your situation. I lost a baby at 18 weeks. It's very hard.

I found this.

Atlas — “bearer of the heavens”
	Leo — “lion”
	Orion — “boundary, limit”
	Phoenix — “dark red”
	Ash — “ash tree”

Nova - My friend's son is called Nova, it's very unique and I've never met anyone else with the same name.

It's one of the stars in the Great Bear constellation, and was used by sailors to guide them home. I'm so sorry for your struggles, OP.
