I like Louisa!

But I wouldn´t pick it unless I also liked Louise and Lou/Loulou etc (or at least felt like I could happily live with those).

Emma is incredibly popular around here but it is lovely. Alice is also great.

Love Louise

Louisa, it’s a beautiful name

Louisa

Louisa definitely.

Love Louisa. Reminds me of Louisa May Alcott (Little Women).
The Champagne House Pommery have a very special bottle called Cuvée Louise after Madame Louise Pommery, their founder. You would always have something to toast birth, graduation, special occasions with!

My 13 year old Louisa is named after Louisa May Alcott 😊 she gets 101 daft shortenings at home but never Lou. She's never mistakenly been called Louise either. Her friends at school sometimes call her Elle.
I love all 3 names and think you have excellent taste!

RosesAndHellebores · 13/01/2024 11:42

If I'd had a second daughter she'd have been called Louisa. I have a dd called Alice - she is nearly 26 though!

I think Emma's due a renaissance. I don't remember any from the DC's schooldays, but lots of Emilys.

Three lovely, classic names in my opinion.

Alice - such a lovely name

Jessforless · 13/01/2024 11:24

My sister is Louisa and she absolutely hates it. Despises being called Lou which everyone at work does to her.

itsalwaysthesame · 13/01/2024 11:18

Louisa
No one calls her Lou or if they do she'll correct them immediately 🤣

ConstitutionHill · 13/01/2024 09:17

Emma!

aintnospringchicken · 13/01/2024 09:14

Emma is my favourite, but then I'm very biased as my toddler GD is called Emma. All the other Emmas I know are in their 30s.

Notellinganyone · 13/01/2024 09:02

Louisa. Lovely name but quite uncommon at the moment.

FunkyBu · 13/01/2024 08:54

I like Louisa, but prefer the spelling Luisa.

ShakesP123 · 13/01/2024 08:38

Alice.

Emma was so popular in the 70s/80s/90s it feels dated to me. Louisa the same due to Louise. Also hate Lou and Loulou which she will inevitably get.

HippoStraw · 13/01/2024 08:33

I like Alice best by far. Not sure why people are saying it’s too popular. It’s not even top 50. Followed by Louisa, then Emma a way behind, although I still like it.

RichPetunia · 13/01/2024 08:26

Louisa

GoldenArrow · 13/01/2024 08:24

Louisa is beautiful to me x

user1477391263 · 13/01/2024 04:39

Louisa. I know a young Louisa and nobody calls her Louise. Alice is nice but very popular. Emma is the world’s dullest name.

renthead · 13/01/2024 03:54

Louisa. This was my top girl name but DH wasn't keen. I still love it! If I had a third girl (not happening) I'd twist his arm.

user1492757084 · 13/01/2024 03:43

All three names are timeless, classic and lovely for a grown woman.
My fave is Louisa.
In order of preference ..
Eloise, Louise, Louisa, Alison, Alice, Ella, Emma .. all beautiful.

BonheursTrousers · 13/01/2024 00:00

I have a friend called Louisa, I’ve never called her Louise or lou/lulu etc. it’s a pretty name however I do prefer Alice out of the three. Emma my least favourite as it is very plain…

Viviennemary · 12/01/2024 23:58

I like Louisa best. Then Alice. Not mad keen on Emma but it's an ok name.

Crikeyalmighty · 12/01/2024 23:56

All lovely!
