Names that go with Theodore and Frederic?

That’s it really! I need a boy name to go with Theodore and Frederic (Theo and Freddie) but struggling.
Preferably 8 letters to match the other two but not essential.
I thought it would be easy but apparently not!

This is good, you could have Theo, Freddie and Barney.
Theo, Freddie and Barnaby also works.

I know someone with a Fred and a Barney. Sadly they didn’t name their daughter Bam Bam (or Wilma I guess)

I vote Gus or Seb OP.

Sheridan?

I remember reading Enid Blyton's Five Find-Outers series and being utterly horrified by the name Algernon.

watcherintherye · 12/01/2024 10:15

Algernon - Theo, Freddie and Algy!

It fits the brief and is of the same era as your other two names (but no, don’t!)

I’d never actually thought about the syllables thing and was just looking at how they were written. Thank you! X

Another vote for Ted, Fred and Ed. Teddie, Freddie and Eddie to their immediate family.

It's staring you right in the face. Do it.

Why is it the number of letters, rather than the number of syllables? Just curious...

Reginald
Roderick (please don')

The British born composer Delius had the forenames
Frederick Theodore Albert
his parents must have thought they went together!

Also came on to add Benedict 😀

Takeitinturns · 11/01/2024 23:08

I have a thing about the number of letters matching too! I love PP’s suggestion of Benedict (8 letters and the “d” sound runs through every name)
Also
Matthias (8 letters nn Matti)
Nicholas (8 letters nn Nico)
Alastair (8 letters find this very handsome, charming, timeless)
Raphael (7 letters but I love it and it’s nn potential)
Sebastian (9 letters but works well with your other names)
Jonathan (8 letters, deserves a comeback, would nn him Nat)
Nathaniel (9 letters, again I love Nat and Natty)

oh and Dashiell - 8 letters I wanted this badly - I love Dash.
