Luke or Rory?

Struggling with these two names.

Do you prefer one, if so why?

Luke has been a lifelong favourite but Rory is one I can't stop thinking about. Rory is no.7 where I live though!

Rory is nice but it's quite 'of the moment' in England so it depends where you live. I think it has a much deeper rooted history in Scotland and Ireland but in England it's rocketed out of nowhere over the past few years so risks feeling a bit of a trendy choice.

Whereas Luke has definitely stood the test of time. Personally I prefer Lucas to Luke, but there's nothing to dislike about Luke. If you've loved it for years I think you'll regret not using it.

Have you posted this before because if not the exact two names came up not so long back and like FoFanta I thought Gilmore Girls too.

Don't reject a name because young children struggle to pronounce certain letters, most of them learn to say their Rs.

Surely that's not a reason not to use a name if you like it just because some people can't pronounce it

Luke is old fashioned and Rory is just awful for a grown man.
