Opinions for triplets!

We are blessed enough to be having triplets due next month - a boy and two girls!

90% sure that DH and I are certain on their names but something in me keeps saying that they’re just not right. I’m Irish and he’s English, living in Northern Ireland but planning a move abroad in the future so we’ve chosen names that represent both our backgrounds yet are still quite mainstream and (hopefully) easy to pronounce. Any opinions good or bad very welcomed!

Conor Alexander
Maeve Isabel
Beatrice Fiadh (pronounced Fia, as in Mia)

You've got to 36 weeks (or more) with triplets? That's amazing, well done.

Beautiful names, they don’t need to match

puddypud · 29/12/2023 19:18

I think they're all lovely names. Beatrice means something to you so you should use it. You'll regret not using it if you don't. They don't need to match just because they're siblings.

Why not Conor Maeve and Fia?

Or Conor Isabel and Beatrice

Maeve and Beatrice don't match

Conor kind of goes with everything

They are all lovely names!

Gorgeous names! Beatrix may fit a bit better?

Beatrice doesn’t really fit with the other names I don’t think. I like all the others.

@BabyYoshke I agree with this and it is one of my concerns too. Beatrice has been my lifelong favourite name though and it just feels wrong not to use it! Very torn! My other options would be Charlotte or Lara but they doesn’t really ‘go’ either

Where do you plan to move? I would say these might feel good in Ireland, but Beatrice isn't pronounced the same in Italy for example.

Sorry, should’ve been more clear - we’re hopefully moving to Canada with DH’s job

I especially like Beatrice.
