How many do you know - Caspar or Rafael

Hi all. Baby due in a few weeks. We are decided on name for a girl, boy is proving trickier. We have settled on either Caspar or Rafael. I'm not asking for options on these (or spelling variations) as it will definitely be one of these names and we love both. However, I would like to know how popular/common they are (I don't know many babies/primary age children) - they are not names I hear often but have read on here about unusual names and then people finding there are several in a class. I have also looked on Dark Greener website - but I'd like some anecdotal experiences. So please let me know if you know any boys with these names, how old they are and what region you live in. Many thanks!

1 Raphael (17 years)
1 Raphi / Rafi (3 years old)

I know you’re not asking for opinions on names but I like them both!

2 Caspers at nursery (both have Polish parents). 1 Rafael in the baby room (British parents).

I know one Caspar aged 20 and one Raphael (spelt that way) aged 13

3 Caspar/Kaspars. All German though (we live in an area with a lot of expats). Also have a lot of Konrads and Wolfies.

No Raphaels or Rafaels, but we do have a few Rafis and Rafes (Rafi is an Arabic boys’ name, so not short for Raphael)

I teach a few Kacpers. They are Polish.
I have taught one Raphael.

I would use Raphael.

About 10 Raphaels (mostly with the ph spelling) from 2 to late teens

2 Caspars aged 2 and 3.

plus 2 Cassians (I 50 odd one 1)

Caspar/ Casper is a popular name for those with Polish heritage. I've taught two and one no obvious Polish heritage Casper.
Raphael I've taught one.

I know one Raphael who is about 30, goes by Raf (I’ve always liked his name!) and no Caspars.

In London and I know:

Casper - aged 3
Caspar x 2 - 18 months and 3 months
Raphael x 2 - both aged 3. One of them is known as Rafe.

One friend called Rafael, and friend's dog is Caspar.

I currently teach in a primary school in the South East.
I've never taught a child with either name (have been teaching for 30 years) and I don't think we currently have any in my school.

I think there were about 180 Casper’s born in the UK in 2021… so not very popular!

I have a 12yr old Raphael and there's another one in his school (age 14). Also know a Caspar and a Kaspar (both teens).

I have a Casper (just turned 1) and I’m still yet to meet another one. Plus I work in a school and have never taught a Casper. Partly why I chose the name!
there is one Rafael at my school aged 8ish

I love Caspar. I would have guessed Caspar is more popular, but I work in a children's centre and have come across several Raphael Rafaell/Rafe/Raff's etc in the past 2 years and no Caspar's yet. (North West).
