This name just popped up, what are your thoughts on the name Arlo?
Apparently it is Spanish, but also read it can be used for either gender.
Thanks.

Arlo reminds me of the Evie, Eve, Evelyn, Eva trend. It's a nice name, but it's incredibly popular and it feels like every other small boy has the name.

It's bloody everywhere. I teach lots of small children and it's very rare these days I have a class without an Arlo or 2 in it.

Not keen, reminds me of the good dinosaur. It will date badly like all of the Jaydens and Kaydens.

HappiestSleeping · 29/12/2023 09:43

Lots of dogs around here called Arlo.

Greeneyegirl · 29/12/2023 09:42

Incredibly popular, I personally know 2 under one (as in they are friends babies) but you hear it out and about all the time. They haven't released 2022 data yet but in 2021 it was something like the 13th most popular name in the UK

OopsieeDaisy · 29/12/2023 09:41

Very popular near me, only ever heard as a boys name and personally can’t stand it.

babythreeincoming · 29/12/2023 09:39

Cute but super popular!

LilyLemonade · 29/12/2023 09:32

Very trendy, will date badly. Nice name otherwise.

Torganer · 29/12/2023 09:30

It’s old English. It means fortified hill. It’s a very popular name in the UK and has been for the last 7yrs or so.

TenThousandSpoons · 29/12/2023 09:30

It’s a recently popular name, only ever heard it for boys. I like it.
