Lottie or Dottie

Which one do you prefer? I don't want to use the traditional longer names Charlotte or Dorothy. Be kind, baby here (nearly 2 weeks old, she needs a name!) thanks.

Charlotte on birth certificate, nice classy name for the future in case she becomes a Judge, Professor, Prime Minister etc but Lottie to everyone else.

I love them both but especially like Lottie. It’s beautiful & was one of my favourites for both my daughters too. Congratulations!

Use the longer names on the official document and just use the shorter names day to day. At least they don't have to spend their life saying "oh no it's just Lottie"
