Middle name for Holly

Surname is Johnson. Should probably name change but I can't really be bothered.

What middle name would you choose for baby girl Holly Johnson?

I'm not sure how I feel about Jo, I get kids cartoon vibes from Holly Jo but that's probably just my issue.

Holly-Jo sounds like a single name - and from the Deep South of America (if you call her this she will need to marry a Chad!).

I know what you mean about the cartoon. I think it reminded me of Holly Hobbie where Holly Johnson is more rock n'roll.

Jo Johnson is the name of Boris Johnson's brother, if that matters. He was an MP until 2019 and currently sits in the House of Lords, so not completely unknown.

I do like Holly Jane Johnson or Holly Jean Johnson though.

I wouldn't go for a single syllable middle name as they seem twee and unimaginative, or a name starting with J as the J repetition detracts.
A nature name will sound too hedgelike.

Of all the suggestions the one syllable ones flow much better with Holly.

I’m in my 30s and have no idea of the names from Frankie goes to Hollywood, I think it’s definitely a non issue.

Avoid May/Mae/mai and Ray/Rae as they are done to death as are grace and Rose.

I think Holly Johnson is a lovely name. I did ask my 26 year old if she'd heard of Relax and The Power of Love, and she had, but didn't know his name. I'm 54 and still have the T shirt somewhere.

I've definitely heard of both those songs, in fact Power of Love is one of my favourite Christmas songs, but definitely too young to know the band members names (luckily!)

I’m a bit biased as my maiden name is Johnson and my lovely Mum is Jean ❤️
