Seth is nice, I don't like Maxim but love Max.

Personally don't like any of the others on your list!

shoopshoopdedoo · 21/11/2023 22:05

I love James - would use it as a first name!

Otherwise, I quite like Edwin (prefer Edward) and Francis (love Frank). Used to like Wilfred until it became associated with Boris Johnson. Not fond of the others.

Lifeinlists · 21/11/2023 17:16

No one would ever spell Isaiah correctly so that rules that one out straight away. I know it's not on your list but Elijah is similar and easier to spell.

Francis is ok though a certain recent former head of the British army stopped using that (his first name) as he thought it was a bit too wet. I don't, but other people may. Wilbur is the pig in Charlotte's Web so I can't get past that.
Edwin's ok but Edward is better.

MissyB1 · 21/11/2023 16:59

I like Seth and Francis from your list. I would prefer Edward to Edwin.

Doublebiscuit77 · 21/11/2023 16:57

Jago and Seth don't really go with James - all of the others go well. My favourites are Wilfred and Maxim.

Mumofgirls2017 · 21/11/2023 15:58

I like Jago but can’t have Jago james!

otherwise Seth of Wilfred.

TheBirdintheCave · 21/11/2023 15:50

The only one that doesn't work is Jago James. Jago is Cornish for Jacob and James and Jacob share the same root.

ZinniaB · 21/11/2023 15:48

Maxim is my favourite boys name, strong, classic but fresh and contemporary sounding, international feel. Please use it!

Lamelie · 21/11/2023 15:26

Good list. All quite posh. If his sister is Jacey- Mae it’d jar but apart from that, lovely list.

Yoyoban · 21/11/2023 15:26

I only like Isaiah or Francis from your list (in that order). At a push Jago is ok too.

Actively dislike all the rest.

AdaColeman · 21/11/2023 15:21

I like Edwin, Wilfred, Francis and Jago from your list, with Jago and Edwin favourites.

Moses, Seth and Isaiah are a bit too Old Testament for me, and I would prefer Maximilian to Maxim.

MerryChristmasToYou · 21/11/2023 15:06

Edwin - like
Seth - don't like
Wilfred - ok
Wilbur - don't like
Moses - not sure
Francis - like
Jago - Jago is a form of James
Maxim - ok
Isaiah - too long

Middle name James. - filler middle name

Use James as the first name, possibly Jago for short, and Francis or Edwin as a middle name to avoid Frank or Ed.

Katiesaidthat · 21/11/2023 14:43

Francis, definitely.

mathanxiety · 21/11/2023 14:27

I like Isaiah, Francis, and Edwin, in that order.

TotalOverhaul · 21/11/2023 14:24

I love Isiah, Seth, Wilfred and Francis from your list. I like all the others too. I'd choose a name that can be shortened to something you also like, so that's my only hesitation about Isiah - Izzy? Isa? Not great, whereas Wilf, Frank, Max etc all sound great.

ZuliKyanLarsFoz · 21/11/2023 14:21

Francis is definitely the best on your list

InTheRainOnATrain · 21/11/2023 14:19

I like Francis.

PickledScrump · 21/11/2023 14:17

Absolutely love Seth and James. Don’t like any of the others on your list.
