Is Chez a real name

Morning all, I heard of the name Chez for the first name yesterday, I had never heard of it before. Is it a real name or is it a shorting of a name?

As I said and still stand by "Poor kid".

I am sure her parents like her name, the same way the parents of Waynes and Balonzs like the names they chose and I would think Poor Kid then too.

Cherokee is the name of a tribal group . Not a personal name.

April, May and June are all months of the year but it doesn't stop people naming their kids.

I know a male Chez, its Polish - I think possibly a shortening. Pronouced with a Ch and in Chesney, rather than Sh in French Chez.

Depends how it’s pronounced really. I know a ‘Chez’ but that’s short for Chesney because he used to look like someone out of emmerdale or coronation street apparently and it’s just stuck 🤣
