Quite sure we’re settled on Heidi for DD due Jan

I want the middle name Grace, DH is a bit up and down with it but says he isn’t bothered about middle names in general - so it’ll probably fall down to me

opinions?

How about Matilda? I feel that Grace feels a little too short

Sorry but it’s really dull and overused. All girls have either Grace, Rose or May currently as middle names. And I really do mean all of them.

Our surname is quite long! Hence wanting the middle name a bit shorter

and with my name unfortunately not it doesn’t really go well and I know she won’t have her middle name used loads etc but it would just look like a bit odd on her birth certificate all together my names just kind of a first name

Maybe even put your own name as the middle name? Would that work?

Yokaiwatch · 16/11/2023 10:52

I think you would be better with a slightly longer name for the middle name since Heidi is a short name.

Heidi Elizabeth

Heidi Meredith

Heidi Marion

Heidi Estelle

Grace is a filler middle name and doesn't flow very well with Heidi.
Does Heidi Surname sound ok?
Middle names aren't used much. I'd pick a more substantial middle name, like a family name.
Something like Heidi Elizabeth or Heidi Catherine not
Heidi Rose/May/Grace/Jane/Anne/Joy/Fay/...

I doubt her middle name will be used much?

But I actually like it! I love the name Heidi too, I would have chosen it for Dd possibly but Dp wouldn't have

I love it.
