We have just had our 4th baby girl. All under the age of 5…sibling names are Zara(eldest), the Olivia & Rosie.
We are between Ella, Ivy or Sienna.
Which sounds better with these names? We have a longish traditional second name.

Ella

Sienna - lovely name

Ella is OK

Lifeinlists · 05/11/2023 17:33

Ella.
Ivy isn't timeless at all. It was popular in some circles around 1900 to 1930s then disappeared until recently. It's just fashionable at the moment.
Sienna is pronounced with a lot of emphasis on the 'na' bit round here so I wouldn't.

Of the 3, Ella. Not keen on Ivy or Sienna.

Ivy is beautiful and timeless. Ella I find dull and Sienna unpleasant

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 05/11/2023 17:07

I like Ella and Ivy equally. If I had to choose I’d probably go with Ella but Ivy is very pretty as well. I don’t like the name Sienna personally.

warriorofhopelessness · 05/11/2023 17:06

Ivy by a long shot. I don’t like Sienna and there are a billion Ella/Elli/Ellies.

unhingedminge · 05/11/2023 17:05

I do like Ivy a lot I know its popular at the moment due to Blue Ivy but I find it a very classy timeless name.

All lovely names OP but they do remind me of the M&S jeans range!

theduchessofspork · 05/11/2023 17:03

Serena, Susannah and Saskia are nice though

Or Esther if you want a less popular alternative to Ella

MaloneMeadow · 05/11/2023 17:03

Love Ella! Sienna I like but I feel is getting so popular that it will date very quickly. Hate Ivy, a bit of a council estate/granny name to me.

theduchessofspork · 05/11/2023 17:02

Ella - it’s quite classic if v popular

Ivy is nice but less of a classic and will date as it’s so popular now

Sienna is a bit hello Mag / naff

BoleynMemories13 · 05/11/2023 16:49

Congratulations

I prefer Ella out of those 3 and think it goes nicely with the sibset.

Sienna is a bit too trendy for me, and Ivy a bit matchy with Rosie. Definitely Ella.
