Ella, Ivy or Sienna

We have just had our 4th baby girl. All under the age of 5…sibling names are Zara(eldest), the Olivia & Rosie.
We are between Ella, Ivy or Sienna.
Which sounds better with these names? We have a longish traditional second name.

Keep Ella!!

Mine is 21 and loves her name, her bestie is Ella too and also loves her name, they don’t care it’s popular.

one of mine also has Zara as a middle name.

itsannie86 · 16/01/2024 12:22

Personally I dislike Ella (I'm sorry...it is such a nothing name to me because it literally just means "she" in Spanish). Sienna is okay. Ivy is the nicest!

Seamist22 · 08/01/2024 22:33

Ella and Ivy are both lovely! I would choose Ella personally as I think it’s so pretty yet classic. There aren’t that many Ella’s around - I know more Ivy’s! But Ivy is gorgeous too so go with what feels right - maybe your dd seems like more of an Ivy than an Ella to you?

Clare2023 · 08/01/2024 21:57

My husband is still not fully sold on the name Ella!!! I was always pretty 50/50 on them both! Considering making a name change to Ivy….!!!😆

Great choice OP! Ella Victoria is beautiful ❤️

Seamist22 · 07/12/2023 20:30

Beautiful name - great choice ♥️

Clare2023 · 07/12/2023 20:04

We went for Ella!

Ella Victoria…

Thanks so much for all of your feedback & sorry to any of the non lovers of Ella out there! Impossible to keep everyone happy though!!

Oh sorry your little one is unwell OP.

Im not a fan of either Ella or Ivy, partly because they’re so popular. Especially if you’re pairing with Ivy with Grace as every girl has either Rose/Grace/May as a middle name.

Annabelle is lovely, I know one toddlers and two grown up ones.

OopsieeDaisy · 07/12/2023 09:11

I love Annabel, much nicer than the others imo!

Boardingmama2 · 07/12/2023 09:02

What about Eva? Feel like it's in between Ella and Ivy and not too popular? Out of the two you've said, I prefer Ella, not keen on Ivy.

JamSandle · 07/12/2023 07:57

I really like Ivy.

Leni987 · 07/12/2023 07:55

So sorry to hear she’s poorly OP and wishing her a speedy recovery. All your names are gorgeous - particularly love Annabel (I don’t think it’s dated at all) and Ella ❤️

Seamist22 · 07/12/2023 07:40

Love Annabel!

Ella is lovely too

Ivy is nice but I prefer Annabel and Ella.

Sienna not to my taste

Mystro202 · 07/12/2023 07:10

Aw poor baby. I hope she gets better soon 💓 you should name her whatever you like, there will always be someone who finds fault with whatever name you pick. For what it's worth I like Annabel 👍

Clare2023 · 07/12/2023 06:55

We still haven’t named her 🤦🏻‍♀️ she has been sick in hospital & it’s putting me off certain names that I’m associating with that!

I now also like Annabel(nn Annie). I’ve always liked Isabelle but not a fan of the nn Izzy!
is Annabel abit dated now?

What name did you go for in the end OP?

Coffeeandcakemum · 11/11/2023 07:37

Sienna ☺️

cheleuh · 11/11/2023 02:24

Ivy or Sienna

Leni987 · 10/11/2023 19:51

Ella! Lovely name

shoopshoopdedoo · 10/11/2023 19:45

Ella, definitely! Lovely name and fits well with her sisters. I’m not keen on Ivy and would avoid using it with Rosie (ditto Lily and Poppy). I really don’t like Sienna.

Lifeinlists · 10/11/2023 18:23

@miniaturepixieonacid lots of Ivys entering the school system now. It's a name that has been latched on to big time in the past few years.

Ella is much classier.

miniaturepixieonacid · 09/11/2023 23:52

I love Ivy. One of my favourite girl names. I think it's pretty but cool/edgy. I know it's popular but I have never met one and I'm a teacher in England.

Ella I like but there are so many Ella/Ellie/Elodie/Elsie type names and the majority seem to end up being called Ellie. Which I don't like.

anonimoxyz · 09/11/2023 23:42

Love Ella, like Ivy, hate Sienna

Clare2023 · 09/11/2023 23:31

That’s very true & in fact, if the 3 girls-Zara is least popular, yet she has another Zara in her preschool group! Whereas Olivua is the only Olivia at that crèche!
So the Ella option wins your vote?
