Hi everyone! I hope you're well. I wanted to ask you guys for your input, after some consultant work with my husband, we agreed on Rhye Remore for our boy.(pronounced re-mor-ay).

What do you guys think? 🙏

I'm afraid my instinct is to sing 'when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's Ramore'.

Same!! Lol

lockedinflavour · 29/10/2023 19:57

Not too keen on Rhye just because it makes me things of rye bread. Which I feel is always a bit sad, leathery and dry. But if you like it go for it. It's nicer than a lot of other 'unique' popular names right now.

ShatteredPeace · 29/10/2023 19:47

My mistake. I thought Rhye Remore was all the first name but I understand mie that's the surname too. That's much better. Sorry for any offense.

I've reported a couple of comments on this thread for you, OP.

Please don't let them annoy you.

I thought that was two first names! So your child’s name is going to be Rhye? Pronounced Rye?

Im a little underwhelmed and im
not sure it works well with the surname but it’s not awful.

Yes, Rhye naturally invokes Rye's pronunciation, isn't it?

I think that Rhye is fine but I do find it rather difficult to follow it with your surname — Rhy ends abruptly and the tongue readjustment to go into the R sound is not smooth.
Try saying the name quickly several times.

Yeah, I've thought about the tongue readjustment to the R sound. I tried to read it out loud and it sounds fine tho.

Sorry the alliteration is really bad and a tongue twister. No for me

bakewellbride · 29/10/2023 14:14

No idea how to say it and it looks like a joke name, poor child set up for a lifetime of confusion and potential teasing.

ButtonDownBev · 29/10/2023 13:47

Don't mind rhye but I don't like Remore, and definitely don't like the two names together

Remore is their surname.

whatausername · 29/10/2023 13:54

Consultant work - wtaf. You discussed.

P.s you're not a pregnant girl (unless your husband is a paedophile and you are in a child marriage). You're a pregnant woman. You do come across as extremely young though.

CorylusAgain · 29/10/2023 13:54

The 2 names together are rather heavy with 'rs' - a bit of a tongue twister. Fwiw I think the surname Remore sounds great. I just wouldn't pair it with a a first name starting with r.

Makes me think of Rye/Wry Remorse

Your son will be forever correcting spelling & pronunciation of the name.
