We seriously considered Aster (spelt like the flower - we’re not Danish) for DD. Eventually discounted it due to the Asda connection. Still really like it though!

Another lovely Danish girl name is Søs, which is short for/a diminutive of "søster", which means "sister", but the ø might be tricky to use if you are not in Denmark.

Just a warning - I know a little Asta (Danish but Iives in London), and many, many people mistake it for Asda.
