For various reasons we are looking for a danish girl’s name to use.

We like:
Ida
Asta
Elva

Do you have any other suggestions?

Oh, and I’ve never heard Runa before but it’s lovely.

We seriously considered Aster (spelt like the flower - we’re not Danish) for DD. Eventually discounted it due to the Asda connection. Still really like it though!

I was just today thinking to myself if I ever had another baby (not happening) and it was a girl, I'd love to use the name Tove.

Another lovely Danish girl name is Søs, which is short for/a diminutive of "søster", which means "sister", but the ø might be tricky to use if you are not in Denmark.

Maja? Pronounced Maya, I knew a lovely Danish woman with that name although it has potential pronunciation issues. Freja?

Kristina.

Just a warning - I know a little Asta (Danish but Iives in London), and many, many people mistake it for Asda.

I like Ida but they do say it EE-da, which might be annoying for her here
