Robyn for a girl
Frederick for a boy.

Arghghghghfg · 23/10/2023 00:00

Robin for either sex.

User6761 · 22/10/2023 23:37

Love Ellen and Patrick

RobinGet · 22/10/2023 22:55

Ellen and Frank.

TrustPenguins · 22/10/2023 22:50

Robyn or Freddie

HerMammy · 22/10/2023 22:46

@elm
Ellen is a female given name, a diminutive of Elizabeth, Eleanor, Elena, and Helen.
Always has been a version of Helen, because you're not aware doesn't mean it's not.

StampOnTheGround · 22/10/2023 22:44

Zoe and Max would be my picks.

I quite like Freddie and maybe Ellen, but not keen on any of the others.

TemporarilyshyAF · 22/10/2023 22:43

Ellen and Patrick are gorgeous

StrangePaintName · 22/10/2023 22:42

Mara or Ellen, Patrick.

Here in Scotland, I don't know of an Ellen under 60, it's short for Helen and very much a granny name.

I'm 30 and called Ellen and it's not short for Helen, that's a completely different name? 😂

elm26 · 22/10/2023 22:40

Just to add I'm 30 so not "old" x

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 22/10/2023 22:40

Wow never heard Mara before that's beautiful. Also Mae 💕

From the boys I love Max 💙

Fawbs89 · 22/10/2023 22:40

I love Freddie its on my list as a fave.

elm26 · 22/10/2023 22:39

Ellen is my name and I actually like it. I don't hear it often and my family and friends call me "Ell".

I like Max from your boys list 😊

Secondly school teacher here! Girls names beginning with E are RIFE. Literally half the class would have a short 3 or 4 letter name beginning with E. It made it so hard to remember/distinguish. I think a lot of those names are really pretty, but wouldn't call either of my girls a name beginning with E for that reason. So Ellen is not rare and is a definite 'no' from me, even though it's a pretty name.

PurpleOrchid42 · 22/10/2023 22:35

Zoe for a girl, Patrick for a boy.

DramaAlpaca · 22/10/2023 22:29

The only ones I like are Zoe and Patrick.

SkaneTos · 22/10/2023 22:24

All lovely names!

My favourites among them are Ellen and Frank.

(Elin is a lovely name too! It's quite common in Scandinavia.)

Daffodilwoman · 22/10/2023 22:22

I see you have Robin for both a boy and girl so I would go with that, However, spell it Robyn if the baby is a girl.

MaloneMeadow · 22/10/2023 22:10

Mae: don’t like, no substance and just a very bog standard middle name
Mara: not a fan
Zoe: lovely, my favourite of the bunch
Ellen: dating a bit now but not bad, Ella/Ellie or even Eleanor are nicer
Robin: nice but more typically spelt as Robyn for a girl

Boys:
Max: lovely
Freddie/Frederick: not a fan, especially with Frederick
Patrick: I like it for its Irish roots
Robin: nice
Frank: absolutely not, an old man name

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/10/2023 21:57
