I don't think any of those go with James. James is a very traditional name which works well with other plain, traditional names such as

Emma
Charlotte
Victoria
Sophie

Yes I agree.
Flora might, or Florence.
Ledia? Awful 😖. Do you mean Lydia?

Fifiesta · 19/10/2023 22:46

Not on your list but, how about James and Roseanna? For some reason three syllable names seem to go with James.

Pharos · 19/10/2023 22:38

Our James’s older sister is Laura, works well for us

Itoldyouthatmum4 · 19/10/2023 22:33

Amy

SallyWD · 19/10/2023 22:23

Tabitha is my favourite

Pipsquiggle · 19/10/2023 22:15

I was going to suggest Harriet! If I had had a girl, that would have been my choice.

I would discount Eirinn just because she will have to repeatedly spell it out for her ENTIRE LIFE.

wafflingworrier · 19/10/2023 22:14

I love Beatrice, Harriet and Tabitha

Maybe choose the one you like as a stand alone name rather than what goes with James?

MrsMorseEndeavour · 19/10/2023 22:11

I have a Charlotte and James. Traditional and don't really date. I think classic similar names like that would go best

ohmyohmy123 · 19/10/2023 22:11

If you like Harriet how about Hattie - it goes nice with James

user1492757084 · 19/10/2023 22:09

James and Tabitha is the best.
I'm not seeing the others go as nicely together.

Tabitha

belfastbelle78 · 19/10/2023 19:45
  • Ledia + Venetia - not a fan at all, unique in all the wrong ways!
  • Cora - quite nice, Cara is lovely as well. Not too common
  • Eirinn - not bad but people will assume it’s the more conventional Erin spelling and she will be having to constantly correct them
  • Tabitha - nice
  • Flora - meh
  • Beatrice - love it, my favourite by far and would be a strong contender if I had another DD!
  • Harriet - lovely
  • Helena - a bit middle aged woman to me
  • Lily - very basic and overused
Goodornot · 19/10/2023 19:43

Talitha is a more unusual alternative for Tabitha.

It means little girl.

DuchessOfSausage · 19/10/2023 18:52

Harriet or Flora

aintnospringchicken · 19/10/2023 18:16

Ledia - no.
Venetia - no.
Cora - no but I love Coral.
Flora - margarine.
Eirinn - lovely if spelt Erin. I also like Elin.
Tabitha - beautiful name.

Fahbeep · 19/10/2023 17:40

Alliterative, not illustrative!

Fahbeep · 19/10/2023 17:39

Jemima (as it's illustrative).

James and Jemima.

Realise its not in your list! Sorry!

MatildaonMain · 19/10/2023 17:39

I adore Beatrice and Helena! Lily too, although DH had a family budgie called Lily so maybe he would veto it

Robocop91 · 19/10/2023 17:37

Out of your list i like Flora best.

I like the name Lily :)

Waggytail · 19/10/2023 17:36

Agreed with PPs. James is a classic so why not a classic for his sister. There's lots of lovely choices.

How about:
Katherine nn Kate/Katie
Eliza
Grace
Alice
Isabelle/Isabella

Or slightly more unusual:
Alexandra
Helena
Beatrice
Antoinette
