Baby girl name help!!

missylissy9 · 18/10/2023 17:21

Expecting our 4th child in December, a baby girl!! We already have 3 sons Hugo, Henri and Louis. The middle name is going to be Beatrice after a close family member but we are SO stuck on a first name. I thought after wanting a girl for so long it would be so easy but clearly not! We both like quite traditional names and DH's family speak French so a name that works with that as well (hence the boys names). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

P.S. Has anyone had any experience with a baby name consultant? Do you think it would be worth it??

Maybe a mix of your parents and his parents names or initials?

Celine?

I really like both Clementine and Cecile.

I think they both go well with Beatrice.

SoundTheSirens · 19/10/2023 23:47

I love Genevieve but it is pronounced very differently in the two countries (I actually prefer the French pronunciation but you’re unlikely to get that often in the UK)

Amelie is lovely, although she’d probably get Amelia in error here quite often.

Does Clara work in French? It ‘goes’ with your boys’ names and Clara Beatrice sounds pretty.

nancypowers1983 · 19/10/2023 23:43

Zélie is a gorgeous French name and would be lovely. Beatrice is a gorgeous middle name as well. I also like Amelie, Cherie, Mathilde and Edith. Congratulations on joining team pink! 💗

I love Clemence suggested by someone upthread.

Not when pronounced by people who don't speak French. They tend to murder it

TheHappiestChristmasTree · 18/10/2023 23:56

Love Cecily and Clementine 🩷

belfastbelle78 · 18/10/2023 23:50

Charlotte Beatrice and Isabel/Isabella Beatrice were both combinations we considered for DD!

Cecily Beatrice is lovely, Clementine is a bit of a mouth full in my opinion

Other options I love are Celeste and Amelie

Much more important to love the first name than worry how it flows with middle name imo - Cecily and Clementine are both fabulous

Manon Beatrice

Cecile Beatrice

Joceline Beatrice

I like Sidonie upthread too

Baby name consultant - that is mad. Download the app so you can match names

missylissy9 · 18/10/2023 22:08

@BeaLola Love Beatrice but a close family member named their DD Beatrice last year so we are going to use it as the middle name.

@FayCarew We don't live in France but spend all Summer there. DH speaks to the children in French and all of his family speak French so needs to work in both English and French.

Me and DH have but aren't 100% sure:
Cecily/Cecile Beatrice
Clementine Beatrice (not sure this works together)
