James and Lee

Ours all all family names - we used the names of DH, both grandfathers, a great grandfather, an uncle, a great grandmother (unisex name, so worked for DS), my name and one grandmother. If we'd had another girl we'd have used the other grandmother's name.

DS - David
DSD - Rose

uncomfortablydumb53 · 15/10/2023 17:32

My passwords are slightly less obvious than my DC', mine or any other name

Tadpolle · 15/10/2023 16:31

My partner/ their dad's surname is my DC's middle name. They have my last name.

Oh come on people, these threads are excellent ways to try and crack/guess people's passwords. Confused

If my passwords were based on DCs names, middle or otherwise, I might worry about that. As they aren't, I won't.

May, Cathryn and Mary

Indeed @NameChange30 you're quite right, but that ship's sailed. Funnily enough there's also a Beatrice and a George in the extended family too, both born and named before this generation of Royals!

Elizabeth and Charles, named after elderly grandparents. It's only now when I see the names together that I've walked into a regal theme here. Not planned!

If you had a third child and it was a boy, the middle name would have to be William Grin

DD doesn't have one. Her 1st name is lovely enough, it doesn't need a back-up or nickname.

Derrymum123 · 15/10/2023 14:45

Adam - DS
Rachel - DD1
India - DD2
Cait - DD3
Caoimhe -DD4
Bronagh - DD5

SquigglePigs · 15/10/2023 14:39

DD has two middle names - paternal Great Grandma's and the Anglicised version of maternal Great Grandma's.

PersephonePig · 15/10/2023 14:35

Family names (dd has my mum's name and ds has dh's)

NameChange30 · 15/10/2023 14:32

DS has a middle name after my grandad.
DD has a middle name after DH's grandmother.
They both have both our surnames, too.

RoseRows · 15/10/2023 14:16

Primrose and Hugo

Soubriquet · 15/10/2023 12:32

Jayne for dd. It’s my middle name
Willis for ds. It’s dh’s middle name

SallyWD · 15/10/2023 12:30

I'm not going to say but DD's middle name is my mum's name.
My son's middle name is from my DH's country and relates to the day he was born.

KeeefBurtain · 15/10/2023 12:19

ExH chose middle names as I picked their first.

DD’s is Veronica after his late mum
ds’s is Logan after wolverine

MargotBamborough · 15/10/2023 08:28

I have the same middle name as four generations of my female ancestors and have just passed it on to my daughter. I love it and don't think it's pointless at all.

FayCarew · 15/10/2023 08:09

@IDidntKnowMyOwnStrength , same here, unless the surname is a common one.

IDidntKnowMyOwnStrength · 14/10/2023 22:47

I don't have a middle name and neither do my children, l just think it's a waste of time.

Theoldwoman · 14/10/2023 22:43

Zara
Isobel
Frances
Alice
Charlotte

Wailywailywaily · 14/10/2023 11:56
