Sorry if this post has already been done but I'm interested to know which names are most common in your child's class and what year they are in.
My LG is in year 1 and the most common girls name is Ruby and the most common boys names are Jack and Oliver.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Blessedbethefruitz · 12/10/2023 22:29

2x Isla and 2x Sarah in my ds reception class, not spotted any boy duplication yet. Ridiculous number of Theos in his age range though from nursery, friends etc.

LoveBluey · 12/10/2023 22:29

2 Mias, 2 Willows and 3 Jasmine’s all in same y2 class. There's actually more of those names in Y2 but it's a 3 class entry so they are in other classes.

There's also an Ocean and a Jet. (But just one of each!)

juliannabea · 12/10/2023 22:01

Names in the primary school that I was surprised there were multiples of... Bowie, Jett, Ocean, Wells, Cash, Elowen, Atlas, River, Dorathy

No way. There was no way more than one Ocean?!

AngryBirdsNoMore · 12/10/2023 22:26

Chocolatesandroses · 12/10/2023 22:01

Alfie and Megan

Megan! Megan feels very 90s.

Seriously79 · 12/10/2023 22:26

Josh. I've lost count of the Josh's I know.

In my day it's was Sarah's, Claire's and Laura's.

Sdpbody · 12/10/2023 22:26

Two Sofia/Sophia and two Oli/Oliver but otherwise, no duplicates in a class of 24.

AngryBirdsNoMore · 12/10/2023 22:25

Ididivfama · 12/10/2023 20:49

Nursery not school yet, but the only names that are doubling up are Leo and Eva.

Nursery too, and we’re also a Leo-rich environment! There are at least four, out of the maybe fifty kids in nursery.

Not sure there’s much duplication in girls.

It’s fascinating, particularly all the Edwardian names - Teddy, Arthur, Connie, Elsie, Ruby, Lily
In our (boys) school it is as others have said: William, Freddie, Oliver, Harry…
